See what your well water report is telling you
Add your lab report and every result comes back in plain English: what it is, how it compares with the limit, and what to do next.
Your report is read here in your browser. It isn't uploaded or saved anywhere, unless you choose to send it to us.

What these results can and can't tell you
They can tell you
- How each tested result compares with the official limit
- Which results need action, a retest, or nothing
- What each substance is and the usual next steps
They can't tell you
- Anything about what wasn't tested. A report only covers the tests on it.
- What your water is like today. Bacteria and nitrate can change with the seasons, heavy rain, floods and well work.
- Whether the sample was collected and handled correctly
- Whether a health symptom comes from your water. Ask your doctor.
We read your report automatically and can misread a number, especially from a photo. Check each value against your paper report, and treat your lab and health department as the final word.

Something look wrong?
You can fix it yourself: everything we read is in the text box above. Correct a value or unit, or add a missing line, then press Explain my results again.
Or tell us and we'll fix the decoder. Lab reports vary a lot, and every miss you report makes it better for the next person.
WellDecoded is in beta. Did it explain your report clearly? Tell us what was confusing or missing.
